Richard Hitz received a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has been active in the field of arboriculture and landscape preservation for over 20 years and in consulting/design for over 10 years. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and has been a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and American Society of Consulting Arborists.  Mr. Hitz has positioned Hitz Design as a regional expert offering municipal, residential, and commercial services to clients throughout the Midwest.

MiJung Ko received her Masters in Landscape Architecture from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea and is an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She has worked on numerous projects for municipalities as well as private and public sectors focusing on promoting green space in urban and rural environments. Her exposure to other countries has developed an interest in cultural impact on the landscape.  MiJung's technical and creative skills are an asset to our team. Her responsibilities include presentation production, design development, and construction document preparation.  Recently she achieved LEED® Green Associate certification.

Lisa Dannenberg joined Hitz Design in the fall of 1998 as Richard's office manager, and executive assistant.  Her organizational skills, communication skills, creativity, and dedication have contributed Hitz Design become the award winning firm it is today.  Lisa's responsibilities include financial management, project management, arboriculture consulting assistant, and design research assistant.  She is a member of the Project Management Institute and is working towards certification as a Project Manager.

Based in Harbor Springs, Michigan, Hitz Design has been providing landscape design and consulting services throughout the Midwest for nearly twenty years.  We maintain memberships with the US Green Building Council, American Society of Landscape Architects, International Society of Consulting Arborists, and the Petoskey Regional and Harbor Springs Area Chambers of Commerce. Through continued education and successful professional alliances, our team is able to keep abreast of innovations and advancements in the areas of sustainable landscape design, environmental restoration, green infrastructure planning, and parks and recreation planning.
